Web and Print Publishing Chair

As the web and publishing chair, you’ll help the VP of Member Communications ensure IABCMN.com is kept up-to-date. Additionally, IABC Minnesota produces a small number of printed post cards during the year. You would help produce these by writing content and working with a designer and print vendor. Time commitment: 1 – 3 hours per month

Day-Of Event Coordinator

The day-of event coordinator will organize catering logistics, sit at the registration table at the beginning of the event, welcome attendees and coordinate any specific venue needs. Perks of this positions are attending monthly luncheons free of charge. Time commitment: 2 hours per month

Event Partnership Manager (2 positions available)

The event partnership manager is responsible for reaching out to local business and agencies to secure venues for the luncheons, as well as speakers. The whole PD committee will help brainstorm topics and businesses, and this volunteer will do outreach. Time commitment: 1 hour a week

Director of Student Services

Develop relationships with faculty at local colleges to increase awareness of IABC Minnesota among both faculty and students. Lead development of College Speaker’s Bureau or other initiative to strengthen ties with academic community. Time Commitment: 2 – 3 hours per month

Membership Coordinator

Works with the VP of Membership and Director of Member Engagement to help new & renewing members get the most value from their IABC membership. Coordinates Member Month campaign (2 times a year). Explores opportunities to improve new member onboarding experience. Time commitment: 1 – 2 hours per month

Gift of Communication Committee Member (2-3 positions available)

Helps organize the annual Gift of Communication event. The 2016 event was a big success with 10 local nonprofits participating and over 25 professional communicators volunteering. If you are passionate about giving back to the Twin Cities nonprofit community and growing this event, this role is for you! Time commitment: 2 hours per month (Dec – Mar)

Nonprofit Communicators Workshop Liaison

Sits on the Minnesota Council of Nonprofit’s “Nonprofit Communicators Workshop Series Committee” as the IABC Minnesota representative. Attends the committee kick-off meeting in July, helps MCN promote the series to IABC members, and gives a brief (2-3 min) overview of IABC MN at the beginning of each of the 4 workshop events, held between Oct and Dec 2016. Time commitment: 1 – 2 hours per month (Oct – Dec)
