In June, IABC Minnesota held an event to recognize the volunteers who keep our chapter active. Thanks to their hard work, we have great professional development, networking events and a robust network of communication professionals. Congratulations to two volunteers who received awards for their work:
2014-15 Volunteer of the Year
Sara Kowski, VP, Communications was named IABC MN’s Volunteer of the Year. This award is given to recognize outstanding volunteer service to the chapter. As VP, Communications, Sara manages the chapter’s numerous communication channels and has spent countless hours taking information from the board and, along with her team, relaying it into meaningful messages for the chapter’s audiences. The board threw a lot of requests her way this year, and she fielded them all with a smile on her face. Congratulations, Sara!
2014-15 President’s Award
Rachel St. Moritz was given this year’s President’s Award. This award is given to someone whose accomplishments were far beyond expected. When the chapter’s VP of Professional Development stepped down halfway through the year, the chapter was left without leadership for one of its highly valued portfolios. Rachel, who was already VP of Recognition, stepped in and not only managed the to keep the portfolio on the tracks, but reinvigorated it with more energy than before. Her efforts made a huge contribution to the value of the MN chapter’s membership. Congratulations, Rachel!
Thank you to all IABC Minnesota volunteers!
Below are just some of the volunteers who support our chapter. There are many more who work behind the scenes. Thanks to all of them!
